Today I’ve got a photo and video comparison for you between two of the top phones at the moment. The best from Samsung and the best from Apple. The Galaxy Note 9 and the iPhone 10 S-Max.

Yeah I think this one is going to be a tough one to call. Because we all know that these two are going to have premium cameras. Both dual lens systems and both 12 megapixel sensors. One wide and one telephoto. Both also equipped with optical image stabilisation
and both shoot crispy 4K video at 60 frames per second.

So closely matched. But specs wise Samsung probably has the edge with that dual aperture technology. Giving the wide lens a switchable aperture between f1.5 and f2.4.

  1. This is what we can call a youtube show ! Everyone nows that the Note 9 camera is the badass from all the the smartphones out there, but in your video, is the note 9 is rapidly a king LOL ? I trust more DXO than you

  2. I hate the Iphone big time with the ugly notch, camera bump and very expensive compared to samsung is worth buying with s-pen and One-Handed mode, dual speaker, dolby atmos dual camera with slo-mo, no bump, bigger screen, Edge screen, brightness 1200 nits, AOD- always on display, 3 biometric, no notch blocking the beautiful oled screen, Super Amoled WQHD 2960×1440 screen resolution, up to 512g extra storage, multi display window, Liquid Cooling, live wallpaper, Customization, bigger battery, 6 or 8 bigger ram, head phone jack, fast charger and headphone included in the box, can also use VR and Samsung Dex Station, now tell me what does Iphone have to make me want to buy Iphone. Iphone is using Samsung Oled screen, Its true Iphone is boring why should i waste my money for boring phone. Think about it what do you do with the phone for a second, minute and hour, stare at it, what do you like to see on the phone, for $1500. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been reviewed on Consumer Reports, they have outed the iPhone XS Max review as well and as expected the Galaxy Note 9 retains its number one spot. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 vs iPhone XS Max rivalry ends with the Note 9 taking the win, at least on Consumer Reports' website.

  3. Well, I'm going to state my honest unbiased opinion. And this is coming from a long-time Samsung fan. Although I love Samsung for many reasons, I have to admit that I prefer the iPhone XS Max camera capabilities. Especially for portrait mode and portrait lighting. Just my 2 cents.

  4. I have Note 9 and I wouldn't change it for the iPhone even if the iPhone camera was better in every shooting situations. A shame Samsung has removed few features on Note 9 that I enjoyed on my Note 8 and other Samsung's devices especially those related to the camera app.

  5. I have had both, and I can tell you that the Note 9 camera is probably the most overrated camera of 2018. I sent the phone back within a week…pure trash camera. If there is any big light source in the picture, the Note completely blows it out…completely! The iPhone does a much better job of metering different tones of light right out of the box…it's not even close. Hell, my OnePlus 6t does a much better job with light than the Note did…MUCH. Not sure why reviewers don't discuss this as much, but it's an obvious problem with Samsung cameras all the way around.

  6. I will tell you I am a Samsung fanboy and I really don't like Apple at all for many reasons. With that being said, to me, the Iphone's pictures look slightly better overall.

  7. Good review. I thought the pictures of the statue of the lady carrying the jug was about equal, but the apple slightly more depth of field, while the Samsung seemed less. If you still have the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, compare that to these two. As an older Samsung owner, the Note 9 is good and the price has come down a bit, whilst the iPhone XS Max is a lot more expensive. Samsung can be slow with android updates, compared to other brands, especially stock android phones. Apple are always up to date. Do an overall test on these phones performance in a few months time.
