  1. hey bro, in my case… My MAC showing error of "google repository and SDK Build tools were not installed"… I retry it so many times. But unable to fix this issue… So there is any way out

  2. Good stuff! In case you are facing a message saying "the application is damaged and need to be moved to trash", just go to "settings"- "security and privacy" – in general tab select "Anywhere" in the second section. This is just for the first time opening the app, after successfully opening it, change those settings back. Hope this can help someone 🙂

    Nice tutorial!

  3. Will the change of JVM version to 1.8 lead to any problems? Also, the JDK version is 8 in your tutorial, will that be a problem in later? Cause i found the requirement on android studio home page said that JDK should be 7.

  4. Wow, thank you, this may be the first time I had to do something technical and did not get frustrated by my incompetence at following directions on a screen. Bless you!

  5. Thanks a lot. I have been trying so many times because JVM issue. I agree with firemouth55 google need fix this. Just download and install doesn't work. It is time consuming to figure out.

  6. You are a life saver!!! That was so incredibly simple… Android Studio NEEDS to fix this themselves.  But I appreciate the work-around!
    Cheers!
