This is a video tutorial on how to replace the battery on your LG V30.

All models –

LG V30+ with 128 GB storage

I used the following tools:

1. Small Phillips head screwdriver
2. Open Prying tool
3. Hair dryer or heat gun

    I just ordered a V30 Plus and I've always been opposed to "embedded" batteries and so having this info is great because the batteries always seem to carry very short lives! LOL Thanks

    Is it me or do they design these new phones to make it a living HELL to change the batter? I'm only watching this video because I just got a brand new V30, so I won't have to worry about this for a long time. But, I miss the days when you could just swap out batteries! Good video. This dude is a pro! The HTCs are FAR worse. You go in from the front and have to pry off the screen. What fun!

    @CellularProz I always cringe when you have to use a heat gun/oven/etcetcetc just to get in the phone/laptop/etc… But this actually doesn't look too bad… Premature for me as I have yet to grab a V30 & i'm hoping my battery never gets to the point where I have to replace it to begin with (which of course starts with me minimizing my cycle counts)… But if it does get to the point where it needs to be replaced, at least i'll have a guide lol. Thanks for posting this, & if you could share where I can buy those gloves that would be great!

    He says he sets the hotplate to about 110 C, which is not correct. The hotplate shows a temperature setting of 42 C, which is 107.6 F. I believe he means he sets it to about 110 F. 110 C would be 230 F, which is above the boiling point of water. Just be careful on how high you heat the phone back cover.

    A deal breaker… the new V30 (also the G6 and G7) DESTROY all values of LG phones, that is, theoretically you can use the prior models such as v10, v20, g5, g4 g3 g2 FOREVER, because you can easily replace the batteries…. non-removable batteries basically DICTATES that your phone can only be used for less than 2 years… Unlike laptops that can always run on AC power, phone are used 99% of the time on DC power, making replacing battery such a complicated job DESTROYS LG's reputation for making real phones, iPhone is not a real phone as it can only be used for 2 years.

    Watched this video by wondering how non removable battery will be easy to replace. I want to scream !cry ! kick! Pull out my hair and hit my head on the wall!!!!!this make me feel angry. We are in 2018 and want me believe that non removable battery are giving extra space? waterproof?and all the stupid other things people believe. ? Jskekdjeiejdjdjdjdjdjd :@
    What are thinking??? They want more money?why? So stupid ridiculous things just for a battery! They can go to space and you telling me non removable batteries are giving space or keep dust away. OKAY
