HMD Global has finally made a flagship Nokia Android smartphone that fans have been waiting for. The Nokia 8 is a great flagship smartphone with a Pure Android experience, it now sports a ZEISS dual camera system and the ability to take a ‘Bothie’, which technically captures images from both the main and front camera at the same time.
The Nokia 8 retails for the price of RM2,299.

  1. I use my Nokia 8 for intense gaming, That's all..
Then I use my Nokia 7 plus to perform my daily tasks and watch movies. Inspite of the Nokia 8 being a QHD DISPLAY, I didn't even notice any difference while watching movies on my Nokia 7 plus that happened to be FHD DISPLAY 😅. I enjoyed movies on the Nokia 7 plus better than the Nokia 8

    SO WEIRD

  2. I was so fucking annoyed with this phone after upgrading from an LG. Threw it against my cast iron fire place when pissed and didn't even break the screen. Love it now but still having meither casting to TV. Not into photography to much but the panoramic mode is a pisser for party's and BBQs. Have a good'n dude. X

  3. i rather have stock android than a bloated android thats why you see the battery life on this phone is good even with only a 3000mah battery.

  4. hi
    tnx for review.

    Four questions:
    1. How's dual sim on this phone? any problems with this?
    2. Is wifi/signal OK?
    3. Does battery overheats? Can it last for whole day without gaming?
    4. Did Oreo increased performance?

  5. People they may release lot of good videos to promote the product, but, I am using the Nokia 8 since 1 month now and it has a worst camera (Lumia had an excellent camera), charging port is mini usb and not micro that means you need to have dedicated charger and power bank cable..Apps like screen mirroring which is available is basic products is not available in Nokia 8…Think twice before investing such a big amount…Better options are available in the same price range…

  7. Unfortunately my Nokia 8 doesn't make good pictures, I mean, colours are good, but they are not sharp, even in a daylight, for example I tried to take a pic of my broken wallet cover for Nokia, was a mid day in the car, and I was unable to take clean sharp detailed picture of a broken cover frame. I tried macro mode, I tried open camera app.. No fckn way. In the restaurant all pic weren't sharp when I checked after all and zoom. Closer distance for that camera is a nightmare.
I am thinking to download pixel camera app but don't know is it help, same is another update help with camera…
Other things like speed is OK. Its fast, loud ringtone, loud speakers. Of course stereo would make difference but like for one speaker its not bad.
Another thing is I don't get it why the hell all mobile phones are so sleek, without cover I don't imagine to use that phone. It gives an anxious feeling and its not good. So cover for 100%. About covers, there is no many original, beautiful covers, specially wallet once which is missing ideas, different materials, colours etc. They are boring.
What I missing, it would be nice if I have an dedicated button to switch of data, to save battery. I have to unlock phone, to do that.

  8. one of the biggest quiz is that when will Nokia comes up with its revolutionary pure view technology? Zeiss + pureview unbeatable!!!

  9. Indonesia here! Sadly it’s not coming here yet (neither the 5 and 6!!!). I believe Nokia saves the bezel-less, stereo speaker, higher quality camera, and beefier spec for the upcoming Nokia 9. And i also believe the Nokia 9 will come with Oreo version ootb. The Lumia-alike camera app is also coming with oreo update. We’ll see;)

The announcement, maybe at the end of november?

  10. Does suck that they are selling it as flagship, with a small screen, pretty big bezels, no stereo speakers, etc. As the little old lady used to say,,, where's the beef? I know Nokia can do better.

  11. So its not a pure view camera which we had on lumias just zies optics, its a big shame nokia failing on camera department, lg g6 is the phone to go with

  12. Bothie was on Samsung before Nokia got it, tho. But I really hope oreo will bring pro features for the camera app and the time lapse will be fixed.
