Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z1 are two very large phones, one with a 5.7 inch screen and slim body, while the latter features a 5 inch display in a much larger body that’s built as a premium device.

The Samsung on the other hand has opted for faux leather that’s actually plastic and faux metal which, you guessed right, it’s still plastic.

Both smartphones are powered by speedy Snapdragon 800 CPUs, plenty of RAM (with an advantage for Samsung, who uses 3GB RAM) and storage expansion options.

  1. Sony's UI, walkman and its extensions and the build quality and water proofing made the Z1 more suitable for more + its camera of course which got much better with updates

  2. Glass and water resistance vs plastic stylis and all the added features on note 3 are pointless build quality with water resistance dnt have to worry about your phone getting wrecked by water, had samsung not a fan to much lag if not straight away then always eventually, sony wins!

  3. I'm not rough on my phones so, the sound quality matters to my aging ears for that I would choose the note3, and the spen is something I use a lot and wouldn't trade my note for an Sony xperia z1 ever. I hope they improve their story album's on the note 4 they need to allow drag and dropping photos where we want them.

  4. There's no winner here, either one is an excellent choice. I have them both and they're great devices. They are reliable and even though the UI is different they are a visual pleasure to look at. They're pretty much the same size, note 3 is clearly lighter. I won an iPhone in a raffle and sold it at the 3rd day to get the z1, iPhones are embarrassing overpriced junk. Once you go android, you hardly go back, unless you are an imbecile. You can never go wrong with high end android phones, it's just a matter of taste here. ..
