On Note8 you can change the performance mode to HIGH and game performance mode too. Change to HIGH perfomance mode on Note8 and do this comparation again.
I am still using my almost 3 years old Note 4. And it's working perfectly fine with anything you can throw at it. I want to buy the Note 8 or the iPhone X too but purely out of vanity, absolutely not out of necessity.
