You’ve no doubt seen tons of photos from your favorite YouTubers and tech writers across social media from the Huawei P20 Pro at this point. And I bet a lot of those photos were night time shots. And I also bet, they looked pretty darn good.

It’s no secret at this point that for low-light photography on a mobile phone a lot of people are turning to this relatively lesser known manufacturer here in the western hemisphere (they’re actually super popular overseas, for the record). But, the thing is, I’m not sure that most people understand why it’s so good at these shots and think we should talk about it because, honestly, it represents a huge leap in phone photography.

  1. Good vlog man! I love my blue p20 pro. Best phone ive ever used. I want the mate 20 pro but being in the US makes it so hard. Keep up the good work. My Vlogs are patterened after yours like these. Educational yet wing it in a way.

  2. Hello, can you please tell me what camera you used to record your own face video from the very beginning?? Actually I really want that quality at night. Its truly looking gorgeous and you also. I guess its a high quality dslr and not any mobile phone camera. Please let me know. Thanks.

  3. Apple brought in big improvement for HDR mode with their iPhone X but I doubt they'll bring in something like this. Fortunately it is entirely possible to do through an application, if anyone is willing. might even have corss-platform benefits since nearly every device has some kinda camera these days.

  4. I think the night mode works by taking many photos and rejecting the shaky ones and combining the still images. Please do a test of the low light mode of the p20pro and also review its manual mode.

؟ وشكراً..

Question outside of the topic .. What kind of camera used in filming the presentation video ?? What are the night-mode settings in the presentation video? And also settings for shooting in low light ?? Thank you..

  6. Correction: you can do handheld long exposures up to 6 seconds not 20 seconds. Even with the P20 Pro you would need a tripod for shots longer than 6 seconds.

  7. P20 pro has good camera but let's face it, it's from leica.. If you want overall functionalities and great speaker,go for LG g7thinq and S9plus

  8. I know see why you were taken those long exposure pictures, it really turned into better pictures.
Great video, I liked the dynamics of it.
    Liked as always 😉

  9. The camera software has been the subject of many adverse discussions. It takes more than great hardware to produce a quality photograph. The success of the P20 Pro after September 2018 will be determined by Huawei's commitment to disclose its Android 9 OS migration. I wonder if it will be 2019 or maybe never. Let's wait and see shall we.

  10. bro what about the video stabilization lacking mode when your taking a video? when we talk about the camera we should talk about the whole features not part of it

  11. Except you are being decietful. Sure the images look great on Instagram but try zooming in 1:1. The P20 Pro is a blurry mess compared to the Pixel 2 XL. P20 Pro uses way too much noise reduction. Daylight shots not impressive either.

Pixel 2 XL is superior. Sorry. Just go look at some forums of not payed users 😉 (joke btw) but kidding aside, it really is.

There are some really nice tests out there that goes beyond hype and ads disguised as reviews.

    And no I don’t own a Pixel 2 XL.
